This city is split in two parts, Old Traditional Acapulco where you see what is left of the history there and Modern Acapulco, where many Pacific cruise ships and tourist make it a weekend getaway to an unforgettable journey.

Acapulco offers a very good nightlife. During spring break, many bars and night clubs sign contracts with U.S. based travel agencies and companies and cater specifically to the needs of the American crowd, which the agencies pay in advance through the travel company and make it an all inclusive resort. This part of Mexico is the only city that competes with Cancun when it comes to super-tourist destinations. While in the city, there are many buses and cabs services one can take to get from place to place, but most of the locals choose to either walk or rent mopeds to their destinations.

A great way of traveling in Acapulco is on some special yellow buses that say Acapulco in big letters. They are the nicest and most uniform of the bus systems. Cabs cost about 10 pesos per person, but they are not private. The cab driver will pick up more passengers as long as seats are available. You can be cautious when traveling to these countries but don’t let it keep you from traveling completely. The reality is that there’s danger everywhere. Crime does not have an address. So on that note make sure you give it a chance. Mexico can be and will be one of the best vacations you will ever take.
