1. Bander Seri Begawan

Bander Seri Begawan is the capital city of Brunei and has two terrains: the stilted water villages and the drier districts on flatter areas of land. The water villages make up some of the city’s important and scenic aquatic districts which slip into the sea. The city is home to some of great beaches that offer vibrant undersea life, scuba diving and snorkeling. 7. Taman Persiaran Damuan

Taman Persiaran Damuan is a leafy, attractive park along the bank of river Jalan Tutong. From here you can enjoy the best view of Istana Nurul Iman. The park has walkways, a well-equipped playground and home to six outdoor sculptures by Asean artists.The theme of the sculptures is Unity in Diversity. 8. Istana Nurul Iman

Istana Nurul Iman is the residence of His Majesty the Sultan of Brunei. It is located three KM west of Bandar Seri Begawan’s city centre. The place is the largest residential palace in the world with golden domes and all-encompassing rooflines that can be viewed from the long road of Jalan Tutong. The palace is open to visitors during Hari Raya, when both locals and tourists get an opportunity to greet the Sultan and other members of the royal family. The Park is spread over 1,070 hectares, the Forestry Department of Brunei has declared it as a conservation forest. The peaks of Bukit Patoi measures 310m and that of Bukit Peradayan measures 410m.

23. Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah  Complex

The Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Foundation Complex was opened in July 1996. It is a foundation initiated by His Majesty the Sultan to generate capital for the welfare of people of Bruneian. It is also an up-market shopping centre. The complex has a mixture of traditional Malay and modern architecture. The complex forms a prominent landmark in the heart of the capital city of Brunei. 25. The Sultan Haji hassanal Bolkian silver jubilee park

This park and recreation area is built in the year 2002 as tribute to His Majesty the Sultan’s 56th Birthday. It is a beautiful six-hectare-large Silver Jubilee Park and Recreation Area located in Kampong Pusar Ulak, Mukim Kianggeh, not very far from the heart of town. The park has land marked by lush green landscaping and an imposing structure that has columns and fountains leading out to a tranquil pier.

26. The Brunei museum

The Brunei museum is situated up the hill of Kota Batu that is home to a collection of natural history subjects, archaeological artefacts, Brunei Malay culture exhibits, ceramics and jade (that were unearthed during an offshore pipeline survey), centuries-old Chinese porcelain, Islamic artefacts and some of the exhibits of the development and discovery of oil in Brunei. It was established in 1965 it is about 6.5 km from the capital.

27. Pantai Seri Kenangan

It is located just five minutes from the town centre of Tutong. It is a narrow split of land with the South China Sea on one side and Tutong River on the other. It is also called as the `beach of beautiful memories’ and it is a popular place for weekenders. Shutters called `Pondok’ are constructed along the coastal line for picnickers. 28. Sungai Basong recreational park

It is located in the Tutong town and just a five minutes drive from the city centre. This place is one of the most popular places in the district of Tutong for picnickers and joggers. The park is home to cultural village (Rumah Budaya) that exhibits the five ethnic groups in the district – namely the Kedayan, Iban, Tutong, Dusun and the Chinese community. The displays project the rich diverse cultures and the cultural identity of the different ethnic groups that include the Kedayan, Murut and Dusun people found in Tutong. The ‘Rumah Budaya’ was built in 2001and is the only cultural house in Brunei.

29. Tasek Merimbun

It is located around 27 km from Tutong. It is Brunei’s most scenic Lake that is an unusual `S’-shaped and contains black water which has been earmarked as an Asean National Heritage Site. A flooded part of a branch of the Tutong River, this 120-hectare site is surrounded by swamps and sedges and has gravestones that date back to the 15th century. Once it was the burial ground of early Borneo tribes such as Dusun people. Tasek Merimbun offer splendid views of bird, plant and insect life. In total, the lake covers nearly 7,800 hectares of peat swamp forest, wetland, fresh water forest and a low land mixed with Dipterocarp forest.

30. The silver jubilee park

This park is built to commemorate the Silver Jubilee the present Sultan’s accession to the throne. It is a wonderful park along Jalan Maulana, only1 km from KB town. It is spread over 2,679-hectare and faces the beach. It also has exhibition huts and a ‘Pintu Gerbang’ (official decorative entrance) that symbolises the Malay Islamic Monarchy (MIB) concept of Brunei. There is children playground as well in the park.

31. The Wasai Kendal waterfalls

The Wasai Kendal is located in Mukim Kilanas near Jalan Tutong. It is about 1.5km from Jalam Tutong. The Wasai Kendal (Kendal Waterfall) is a retreat popular for its cool crystal waters, wide trails, picturesque pools and beautiful blooms. 32. Bukit Teraja Bukit hill

Teraja is located in the Labi area and it is one of the highest hills. From here one can get a fine view of the Gunung Mulu to the south and Baram valley to the north. The path to the peak requires less than two hours at brisk pace. The top end of the open clearing – (known as clear of the wind) – houses a picnic spot with benches for sitting and a small brook. 34. The Billionth Barrel Monument

The Billionth Barrel Monument was built to commemorate the billionth barrel of oil produced by the Seria Oil Field. It is located near the sea well at the S1 site which also happened to be the first well that was dug about 70 years ago. It is designed by the local architect for Brunei Shell Petroleum. The monument has a tall arched entrance between two rows of trees and a tiled floor that symbolises Brunei’s strong Islamic faith.

This is a study and research center located in Seria. This is new landmark in Seria aimed at imparting education to the public about science, technology and the environment. The OGDC also has a fantastic outdoor setting that includes a giant chessboard, a jogging track, a skateboarding ring.

50. The camels of hussym rahman

The Hussyn Rehman Enterprise brought in some camels in 2003 for the purpose of providing fun rides for the public of Brunei for enjoyment. Later on they also brought Silver and Blossom -the two trained riding camels – who become the stars of numerous funfairs, Radio Televisyen Brunei and also the Agricultural Expo. These start camels are also available for general public in their farm house. The farm is situated at Kampung Betumpu Tapak, Jalan Bengkurong Masin.
