The Cons of Visiting Fountain Hills

As with much of Arizona, one of the challenges for many visitors is the intense summer heat. If you are more used to more temperate climes then you may find the summer sun a little too scorching here.

If you are looking to enjoy the larger city of Phoenix and its main attractions then you may find that Fountain Hills is a little out of the way – more quietly suburban and less vibrant.

The Pros of Living in Fountain Hills

Fountain Hills main attraction is its stunning dessert surroundings. The views can be spectacular and there are plenty of chances to enjoy nature, and an outdoors lifestyle.

There is a relatively low crime rate here, meaning that it is a safe place to live on the whole, with a friendly and tranquil feel.

Prices for housing are relatively high, but property prices are lower than in Scottsdale or Paradise Valley.

The Cons of Living in Fountain Hills

This place’s desert climate is a draw for some, but a major downside for others. If you cannot stand the heat – this desert setting is obviously not the best place for you.

While this is a great choice for retirees and those who enjoy a quiet life, with scenery and wildlife, it is perhaps not such a good choice for younger people who enjoy a more lively vibe.

The relatively remote location means that prices can be higher in small grocery stores and for gas than they are in other places.

These are just some of the pros and cons of visiting and living in Fountain Hills, Arizona. By weighing these up, you should be able to move closer to your decision about whether it is somewhere you would like to travel to, or live.
